Other PTAs
In addition to our own community and advocacy, our PTA supports and is supported by other PTA organizations. Below is an abridged list of those PTAs
SEPTA of Fairfax County
A Special Education PTA (SEPTA) is a PTA organization affiliated with the Virginia State (VAPTA) and National PTA, but specifically established to address the unique needs of special education, special needs, and disabled students and families. Visit
SEPTA of Fairfax County for more information, to join, and to view their community events page which is a impressive list of area events on many topic important to families with students with special education needs. Please refer to our PTA Committee members to view our current SEPTA liaison.
Fairfax County Council of PTAs
The Fairfax County Council of PTAs (FCCPTA) exists to fulfill the PTA mission at the Council level, which in our case is the entire county of Fairfax. We join other councils across the state as part of the Virginia State (VAPTA). We are also part of the National PTA, the country's oldest and largest child advocacy organization. The FCCPTA board is involved in every aspect of public education and supports the whole child inside and outside of the school building.
